The 2007 fundraiser, held over Thanksgiving weekend, raised $135,000 through the hard work of chairman Joyce Philip, co-chairman Debbie Holmes-Wilkins, and their wonderful legion of volunteers.
The 2007 event, “Once Upon a Christmastime,” was held at the historic Tidewater Inn in Easton and featured a sparkling exhibit of over 70 trees of all sizes decorated by volunteers, a glamorous Cocktail Preview Party, and a Christmas Gift Shop. Other venues hosted a myriad of events, including a Senior Citizens’ Bingo Tea, a Champagne Brunch and Homes Tour, a Daddy/Daughter Dance, a dinner auction called “Santa’s Got A Brand New Bag,” and Candy Cane Lane, a special children’s crafts and activities program. A 10K Run and 5K Walk for Hospice was sponsored by the Talbot County YMCA.
The 2008 Festival of Trees, "The Stars Come Out at Christmas" will offer another wonderful array of events November 29 – December 2, 2008. Please check this website for updated information.

Be a Festival of Trees Volunteer
The Friends of Hospice Festival of Trees event continues to be tremendously successful and is made possible through the work of hundreds of volunteers each year. If you are interested in helping, mail the Festival Volunteer Form to the committee and someone will contact you.

“Volunteering for the Festival of Trees gives me the opportunity to spend many hours with my friends in addition to the great contribution we make to Hospice. This is an event for the whole community.”
