About Us
Hospice Care Means

The person can live life to the fullest,

The person will be pain-free and comfortable,

Care will be planned with respect for individual’s and families’ wishes,

Family members can say what needs to be said,

Help is always at hand for the caregivers

The family will have
someone to talk to

Support is available to anyone who is grieving

Those we serve will never have to be alone.

Through the generous support of a caring community, the Talbot Hospice Foundation offers patients and caregivers hope and dignity while embracing moments, facing end-of-life issues and dealing with grief.

An interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals, volunteers and staff provide the knowledge, compassion, and practical help families and patients need to feel cared for, comforted and supported. Hospice services are provided for either at home; in a nursing or retirement facility; or in the comfortable, home-like setting of our Guest Wing. It is a privilege for the staff and volunteers to help lift the burden our patients and families experience during one of the most difficult yet poignant times of their lives.

Giving to Talbot Hospice and becoming a volunteer brings those throughout our community great joy in helping to meet the increasing need for our services, including our pre-hospice (Pathways), hospice at home, Guest Wing, bereavement, spirituality and caregiver support programs. All services are provided without charge through the generous support of our community. Each gift is important to us because Talbot Hospice Foundation receives no insurance reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance.

Our calendar lists upcoming support groups, volunteer meetings, and training schedules as well as fundraising events, like the community’s beloved holiday event - Festival of Trees.
